Wednesdays
8.15pm to 10.15pm
This class is for absolute beginners and is taught by the highly

course will teach you breakfalls (Ukemi), basic movements (Kihon
dosa) and the 10 fundamental techniques which form the roots of
Aikido. Newcomers are welcome to join at any time.
As Aikido involves a number of throwing techniques in is important
to be able to fall in a controlled way in order to prevent injury.
As a result beginners are first taught both forward rolling and backward
breakfalls (Ukemi). After this they are taught the basic movements,
also known as Kihon dosa. These movements are the foundations from
which Aikido is developed.
Once you have learned how to safely execute breakfalls you will be guided through
the first set of techniques which is the starting point of your
path in Aikido.
If you don't have a gi (training suit) please wear loose fitting clothes - tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt
